Hire Next.js developers
App Router, RSC, ISR, Vercel, TypeScript
Senior Next.js engineers who ship App Router applications that pass Core Web Vitals and are still maintainable a year after handover. On our payroll in Noida, working your hours, with fifteen working days to change your mind.
Most teams do not need a Next.js contractor. They need somebody who has already made the mistakes: shipped a migration that kept its rankings, debugged a hydration error at 2 a.m., argued properly about where a use client boundary belongs. That is the gap between a developer who knows React and one who has run Next.js in production for three years.
Our Next.js engineers have been on the App Router since it stabilised, and on the framework itself since version 9. Their weeks go on marketing sites that have to rank, headless commerce front-ends, and internal dashboards streaming Server Components. They are comfortable with the parts that are genuinely difficult: caching semantics that changed twice in two years, revalidation strategy, the line between server and client state, and holding the JavaScript bundle small enough that a mid-range Android phone still loads in under two seconds on a train.
You get one named person, not a rotating pool. They join your Slack and your repository, turn up to your stand-up, and open pull requests you review. Wrong fit inside the first fifteen working days? We replace them from the bench and do not invoice for the time.
When a dedicated Next.js developer is the right call. There is a Next.js codebase and nobody in-house owns it. You are migrating off WordPress, Gatsby or the Pages Router and cannot afford to drop organic traffic. There is a design system to build and a roadmap measured in months. Or Core Web Vitals are failing and every attempted fix so far has been a guess.
When it is not. One landing page, a week-long fix, or a problem that is really about design. Those are better as a fixed-price piece and we will say so rather than sell you a month. And if you are still choosing between React and Next.js, talk to us before hiring anyone. Half the time the honest answer is that plain React with Vite is simpler for what you are describing.
Rates below are for senior engineers with five years or more. Mid-level is roughly 25% less and often the better choice when your team already has an architect.
What they do
App Router applications
New builds on Next.js 16. Server Components, streaming, route handlers, Partial Prerendering, typed end to end.
Migrations that keep rankings
WordPress, Gatsby, CRA and Pages Router codebases moved route by route, with the redirect map written before the first commit.
Headless commerce front-ends
Shopify Hydrogen, Medusa and commercetools storefronts with revalidated product pages, faceted search and edge caching.
Core Web Vitals rescue
LCP, INP and CLS debugged on real handsets: bundle analysis, image and font strategy, third-party script triage, and RUM left running afterwards.
Design systems in React
Component libraries on Tailwind or CSS variables, documented in Storybook, with accessible primitives that survive the next rebrand.
CMS and API integration
Sanity, Payload, Strapi, Contentful or headless WordPress, wired up with preview, revalidation and schemas an editor cannot break.

Framework version, router, hosting, and what has to ship next quarter. A repository link tells us more than a job description, but three sentences in an email will do.

Each CV comes with something they actually shipped: a public repo, a pull request walkthrough, or a Lighthouse trace from a live site. Rate and earliest start date on the same page.
Run your own interview2–4 days
Set a live task, ask about caching, ask for references. Nothing is billed at this stage, and nobody here will chase you about a profile you were unsure of.

A real ticket in week one and a rendering or performance decision documented by week two. Not working out? We swap them or stop, and those days never reach an invoice.

NDA and IP assignment before the first commit, accounts provisioned, stand-up in your timezone from week one. Add people or pause on 30 days' notice.
FAQ
Do your Next.js developers work in the App Router or the Pages Router?
App Router with React Server Components for all new work since 2024. Several of the team still maintain Pages Router codebases and can plan an incremental upgrade route by route, which is nearly always cheaper than the rewrite somebody will propose.
Can one developer handle both the front end and the API?
Usually yes. Route handlers, Prisma or Drizzle and PostgreSQL are part of the standard skill set here. If your backend is Django, Laravel or .NET you will want a second engineer for it, so say so in the brief and we will suggest the pairing rather than overselling one person.
How do you check they can actually do the job before you send the CV?
An internal technical test, a live pairing session on a real bug, and a reference check from the last engagement. Then you run your own interview. We would genuinely rather you rejected a profile than accepted one on our say-so.
What happens if the developer leaves mid-project?
They are our employee, so notice periods and handover are our problem. A replacement comes from the bench at no cost, with a two-week overlap so context transfers by pairing rather than through a document nobody reads.
Will they migrate our WordPress site without losing traffic?
It is one of the most common briefs we get. Full URL inventory, slug-for-slug parity or 301s, metadata and schema replicated, Search Console watched on both sides of the cut-over. Rankings normally hold and Core Web Vitals improve within the first crawl cycle. See Next.js for how we build it.
Can we start with a few hours a week?
Yes. Hourly has a 40-hour minimum and no monthly commitment, which suits code review, an upgrade or covering a gap. For anything with a roadmap attached, the dedicated monthly engagement costs less per hour and gets you the same person every morning.
Tell us the role. Profiles in 48 hours.
No retainer to see CVs, and no invoice until the trial ends and you say yes.
