Hire React developers

SPA, dashboards, design systems, testing

React engineers for the work that lives behind a login: dashboards, internal tools, design systems, and the slow legacy SPA nobody in your team wants to open. Senior, in-house, and yours full-time.

React is the easiest framework to hire for and the hardest to hire well for. Everybody has it on their CV. Far fewer people have untangled a five-year-old Redux store, replaced it without a big-bang rewrite, and left tests behind so the next person could move safely.

That is the kind of React work we staff. Our engineers spend their days in application code rather than marketing pages: multi-tenant dashboards, admin panels, data tables that have to stay responsive at ten thousand rows, and component libraries shared across several products. They are fluent in the current toolchain, Vite, TanStack Query, Zustand or Redux Toolkit, React Hook Form, Radix, and equally at home in a codebase that started in 2018 and still has class components in the corners nobody visits.

Accessibility and testing are not extras here. Every engineer works with axe-core in the pipeline and writes Playwright specs for the flows that matter, because the alternative is a QA queue growing faster than the team.

When a dedicated React developer is the right call. There is a product with a roadmap and no front-end owner. Your SPA has grown past what one generalist can hold in their head. A design system needs building once and using by three teams. Or you are carrying a performance problem, a 4 MB bundle, a table that drops frames, that nobody has had a clear week to fix.

When it is not. If the thing you are building has to rank in Google or be read by AI engines, plain React is the wrong starting point and we will send you to Next.js instead. If you need one screen redesigned, a designer plus a fixed-price sprint costs less than a month of engineering.

One named engineer, embedded in your team and your tools, on your timezone window. Fifteen working days to decide it is right, and no invoice for those days if it is not.

Scope

What they do

Product dashboards and admin

Data-dense interfaces with virtualised tables, filters that survive a refresh, optimistic updates and loading states that make sense.

Design systems

Accessible component libraries on Radix or Headless UI, documented in Storybook, versioned, and consumed by more than one application.

Legacy SPA modernisation

Class to hooks, Redux to Redux Toolkit or TanStack Query, Webpack to Vite. Incrementally, with tests added as ground is taken.

Performance work

Profiling in React DevTools, code splitting, memoisation only where it earns its keep, and bundle budgets enforced in CI.

Testing and accessibility

Playwright and Testing Library on the flows that pay the bills, plus axe-core so WCAG 2.2 AA problems get caught in review, not procurement.

API integration

REST, GraphQL and WebSocket clients with typed contracts, retries, caching, and error states you can actually put in front of a user.

How to hire

01

Show us the backlogDay 0

A Jira board, a list of the three things that keep slipping, or a repository. Seniority, timezone and start date is enough to begin the search.

02

Profiles with something to look at48 h

Two or three CVs, each with a public repo, a Storybook link or a recorded walkthrough of a component they own. Availability and rate printed on the same page.

03

Interview and set a task2–4 days

Talk to whoever you like, give them a live problem, call their references. None of it is billed, and we do not chase a profile you had doubts about.

04

Trial on real ticketsDays 1–15

A live ticket in week one, then a piece of architecture, state, testing or accessibility, measurably improved by week two. Swap or stop at any point, unbilled.

05

NDA and IP signed before the first commit, accounts provisioned, stand-up in your timezone from week one. Change the mix or pause on 30 days' notice.

Questions

FAQ

React or Next.js, which should we hire for?

If the interface sits behind a login and search engines never need to see it, React with Vite is simpler and faster to develop against. If pages must rank, load fast on mobile, or be readable by AI crawlers, hire Next.js. Tell us what you are building and we will say which one honestly fits, including when the answer costs us the higher rate.

Can they work in our existing codebase, however messy?

Yes, and it is most of what we do. The first week normally goes on reading, mapping dead code and agreeing a direction with your team, rather than opening a 3,000-line pull request that nobody can review.

Do your React developers write tests?

Yes. Playwright for user flows, Vitest and Testing Library for logic, MSW for network mocking. If your repository has no tests at all today, they start with the two or three journeys that would hurt most if they broke on a Friday.

How do you handle accessibility?

axe-core runs in CI and keyboard behaviour is checked during review. Our engineers work to WCAG 2.2 AA by default. If you need a formal VPAT or an audit report for a procurement process, that is a separate scoped piece and we will quote it as one.

What timezone will they work in?

India gets a full overlap. For the US, Australia and New Zealand we guarantee four to six hours of daily overlap and shift the engineer's window to make it. Most clients run their stand-up in their own morning and the engineer joins it.

Can we hire two and share a lead?

That is the pod model: two or three engineers plus a part-time tech lead and a delivery manager at no extra cost. It works out cheaper than three separate dedicated engagements, and code review is built in rather than left to whoever has time.
