HubSpot development and integration
Most HubSpot problems are data problems wearing a licence problem's coat.
We build on HubSpot: custom CMS themes and modules, properties and custom objects modelled on how you actually sell, lifecycle and lead-scoring automation, and two-way integration between HubSpot and your website, ERP or support desk. Usually we are called in because the portal has been running for three years and nobody trusts the reports any more.
What HubSpot does well, and what it needs from you
HubSpot is a customer platform: CRM, marketing automation, email, forms, ticketing, quoting and a CMS, sold as connected hubs. Its advantage over assembling the same functions from five vendors is one contact record. A form submission, an email open, a sales call and a support ticket land on the same timeline without anyone scoping an integration project first.
The platform is good at what it claims. Projects fail underneath it. Properties invented independently by three teams, lifecycle stages nobody ever agreed a definition for, duplicate contacts from four import sources, and workflows built by a marketing manager who left in 2023. When a client says HubSpot is not working, the cause is almost never a missing feature or the wrong tier.
So we start with the model. Which objects you genuinely need, which properties matter and who owns each one, what your lifecycle stages actually mean in revenue terms, and every route by which a record can enter the system. Then automation: routing, scoring, lifecycle transitions, notification and handover. Integrations come last, once there is something worth keeping in sync.
We build on HubSpot CMS where it fits, with real design rather than a marketplace template, and personalisation driven by CRM data. Where the site would be better served by Next.js or WordPress, we say so and embed HubSpot forms, tracking and chat into it instead. That combination is common, it works, and it saves you CMS seat costs. For the automation layer around all of this, see workflow automation.
What we build with HubSpot
CRM setup and data modelling
Objects, properties, pipelines and lifecycle stages designed around your real sales motion, with named owners and validation that stops bad data at the door.
Marketing and sales automation
Lead routing, scoring, nurture sequences, quote and handover workflows, built with sales in the room rather than presented to them afterwards.
Explore →HubSpot CMS themes and modules
Custom themes and drag-and-drop modules built to your design system, with personalisation driven by what the CRM already knows.
Integrations
Two-way sync with your website, ERP, accounting, support desk or WhatsApp, written idempotently so a replayed webhook cannot double your pipeline.
Reporting and attribution
Dashboards that reconcile with what finance sees, and attribution set up well enough that marketing spend can be judged instead of argued about.
Explore →Migration and clean-up
Imports from spreadsheets or another CRM with deduplication, plus an honest review of the automation you inherited and what to switch off.
Our HubSpot capabilities
HubSpot compared with the alternatives
HubSpot vs Salesforce
Salesforce customises further and absorbs genuinely complex enterprise process, at a much higher cost in licences and in the specialists needed to keep it running. HubSpot sets up faster and sales teams actually use it, which is the metric that decides most CRM projects. Growing out of HubSpot into Salesforce is a real path. Starting a twelve-person company on Salesforce rarely is.
HubSpot vs Zoho
Zoho costs substantially less and covers a far wider spread of business applications. HubSpot's marketing automation, reporting and day-to-day usability are better, and adoption by sales teams is measurably higher. If budget is the binding constraint, Zoho. If pipeline discipline is the problem you are solving, HubSpot.
HubSpot CMS vs your own website
HubSpot CMS suits a marketing team that wants one login and personalisation from CRM data. A Next.js or WordPress site gives more control, a higher performance ceiling and no per-seat CMS cost, with HubSpot forms, tracking and chat embedded. We build both and recommend based on who edits the site, not on which is more interesting to build.
HubSpot, answered
Our HubSpot is a mess. Can you fix it rather than start again?
Usually yes. We audit properties, duplicates, lifecycle definitions and inherited workflows, then clean up in an order that does not break live reporting halfway through the quarter. A fresh portal is occasionally right, but only when the existing data cannot be reconciled, and we would show you the evidence before proposing it.
Can HubSpot talk to our ERP or accounting system?
Yes, through the CRM API and webhooks. The part that matters is idempotency: a replayed webhook or a retried job must not create a second deal. Before any code is written we agree which system owns each field, because two systems both believing they own the price is how sync projects fail.
Should our website live on HubSpot CMS?
If marketing wants a single login and CRM-driven personalisation is the point, it is a reasonable choice. If performance, custom functionality or publishing at scale matter more, put the site on Next.js or WordPress and embed HubSpot forms, tracking and chat. Both are common. Neither is a mistake.
Can you build custom objects in HubSpot?
Yes, on the tiers that allow them. We will push back first, though. Most custom object requests turn out to be a property or an association on an existing object, which costs less to build and is much easier for your team to live with two years later.
Do you set up lead scoring and routing?
Yes, and we insist on writing the rules with sales rather than for them. Scoring built from marketing assumptions gets ignored inside a month. Scoring built from what a sales rep actually picks up the phone about gets used, and then gets improved.
Can we hire a HubSpot developer from you?
Yes. Dedicated HubSpot and CRM engineers are $25/hour or $3,200/month, with a 15-day trial and profiles within 48 hours. They work under a scoped user in your portal, not a shared admin login.
HubSpot not doing what you bought it for?
Give us read access for a week. You get a written audit of the data model, the automation and the three things worth fixing first.
