WordPress, Shopify, Magento and headless builds your team can run

The platform should fit the people who will use it every day, not the people who build it. WordPress when a marketing team needs to publish without raising a ticket. Shopify and Shopify Plus for merchants who would rather sell than patch servers. Magento for deep catalogues, B2B price lists and multi-store setups. Headless, with Sanity or Strapi behind a Next.js front end, when the site has to be fast and the design refuses to sit in a page builder.

A good share of our work is moving sites between those, which is where the risk lives. We map every old URL before anything is rebuilt, keep redirects one hop deep, and watch Search Console daily for the first month after launch.

No build is finished until an editor on your side has added a page while we watch. They get a written guide and a recorded walkthrough of their own site, not a generic manual.

Questions

CMS & Ecommerce, answered

WordPress or Shopify for our store?

Shopify if selling is the main job and you want hosting, payments and PCI compliance handled for you. WooCommerce if the store sits inside a content-heavy WordPress site or your pricing rules are unusual enough to need code. Show us the catalogue and who updates it, and we will name one.

Will a migration hurt our SEO?

Not if it is planned. Every old URL is mapped to a new one, metadata and structured data travel with it, and we keep the old sitemap live long enough for Google to work through the redirects. The traffic drops you read about come from skipping that mapping and discovering the gaps in month two.

How much does a CMS or ecommerce build cost?

CMS builds start at $4,000 and stores at $8,000 on Shopify or WooCommerce. Magento and headless projects are quoted after we have seen the catalogue and the integrations, because that is where the hours go.

Can you fix a site another agency built?

Usually, yes. We audit it first and separate what is genuinely broken from what is merely built differently to how we would have done it. You get a fixed quote for the repairs. Sometimes the honest answer is a rebuild, and we show the arithmetic rather than just asserting it.

Who owns the site, the hosting and the accounts?

You do, from day one. The repository, the domain, the hosting account and the payment gateway are in your name, and you can take the codebase and leave whenever you like. We keep no client site hostage on our own hosting.
