Hire Laravel developers
Custom apps, migrations, Filament, Livewire
Laravel engineers who take over somebody else's PHP as readily as they start something new: custom applications, Filament admin panels, and the legacy codebase three other agencies quoted a rewrite for.
Laravel is the framework we get asked to rescue most often, and the story is always the same. Somebody built the first version quickly, it worked, the business grew around it, and now there are 400 routes, no tests, business logic living in controllers, and a PHP version that hosting will stop supporting next year. A rewrite gets quoted. The number frightens everybody. Nothing happens for eighteen months.
Our Laravel engineers do the unglamorous alternative. Get it onto a supported PHP version. Add tests around the parts that take money. Pull logic out of controllers into services and actions. Then start shipping features again. Most codebases we inherit are delivering new work inside a month, and nobody has to write off the last five years.
They build new things too. Laravel 12 with Filament for admin, Livewire or Inertia with Vue when the interface needs to be reactive without hiring a front-end team, Redis queues for anything slow, Pest for tests. Payments, subscriptions, multi-tenancy, role-based permissions and reporting are routine here rather than research projects.
When a dedicated Laravel developer is the right call. A PHP application runs part of the business and nobody owns it. You need an internal system, quoting, scheduling, inventory, membership, that off-the-shelf software nearly fits but not quite. You are on Laravel 8 or older and cannot upgrade safely. Or a WooCommerce site has grown into an application a CMS should not be running.
When it is not. A content site with a blog and a contact form does not need Laravel. Hire a WordPress developer and put the difference into content. A storefront with ordinary requirements gets to market faster and cheaper on Shopify.
The Laravel rate is the lowest of our backend roles because the local talent pool is deep, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up. It is a fact about geography, not a comment on the engineers.
What they do
Custom business applications
Quoting, scheduling, inventory, membership and portal systems on Laravel 12, with a Filament admin and permissions that match your org chart.
Legacy PHP rescue
CodeIgniter, CakePHP, raw PHP or ancient Laravel brought onto a supported version, with tests added around the revenue paths before anything moves.
APIs and integrations
Sanctum or Passport APIs, webhooks, and integrations with Stripe, Razorpay, Xero, Tally, courier and CRM systems that retry properly.
Livewire and Inertia interfaces
Reactive interfaces without standing up a separate front-end stack. Livewire and Alpine, or Inertia with Vue where the interaction earns it.
Queues, jobs and scheduling
Redis-backed queues with Horizon, scheduled commands, and batch imports and exports that finish instead of timing out at 60 seconds.
Performance and hosting
N+1 query hunting, index design, caching with Octane or Redis, and deployment on Forge, Vapor or servers you already pay for.

How to hire
Send the repository, or describe the messDay 0
Laravel version, PHP version, test coverage if any, and what has to ship next. Honesty here gets you a better-matched engineer, not a higher quote.
Profiles, including what they inherited48 h
Two or three CVs, each describing a Laravel codebase they own honestly, including the state it was in when they got it. Rate and start date attached.
Interview and ask about the worst codebase2–4 days
How somebody talks about inherited code tells you most of what you need. Set a live task as well. Nothing is billed and nobody is pushed on you.
Read the code, then ship somethingDays 1–15
Week one is usually reading and mapping plus one shipped ticket. Week two is a written upgrade or refactor plan you can act on even if you stop there. Those days are not invoiced if you do.
Settle into your release cadenceOngoing
NDA and IP before the first commit, deployment access in your own hosting account, stand-up in your timezone. Add people or pause on 30 days' notice.
FAQ
Our Laravel app is on version 6 and PHP 7.4. Can it be saved?
Almost always, and usually for a fraction of the rewrite quote. Dependency audit, tests around the paths that take money, then one version at a time with the app deployable after each step. You get a range and a sequence before committing to anything.
Can they work on a codebase that is not Laravel?
Yes. CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Symfony and plain PHP are all familiar territory. If migrating to Laravel makes sense we will say so. If it does not, because the app is stable and barely changes, we will say that too and save you the money.
Do you build admin panels from scratch?
Rarely, and usually reluctantly. Filament gets you a production-grade admin in days rather than weeks and bends far enough for most business rules. We build custom only where it genuinely will not fit, and we will show you where the line was.
Who hosts the application?
You do. The engineer works in your Forge, Vapor, AWS or DigitalOcean account with least-privilege access. We will set the infrastructure up and hand over the credentials, but client production systems never sit on our accounts.
Is $20/hour realistic for a senior developer?
It is the market rate for senior Laravel talent in India, where the pool is deep and salaries are lower than in the US, Australia or New Zealand. The rate reflects geography rather than seniority. You interview the engineer before committing, so judge it yourself.
Tell us the role. Profiles in 48 hours.
No retainer to see CVs, and no invoice until the trial ends and you say yes.
