Website development for Australian businesses

For Australian businesses. Design and engineering delivery from Noida, India.

Build a website that helps people understand your offer, check the evidence and take a useful next step. We plan website design and development for Australian businesses, from editable WordPress sites to ecommerce and custom Next.js experiences.

WordPress websites starting from USD 849/project

Start with the customer task and the team maintaining the site. The platform, content and integrations should follow from those decisions.

  • Business websites, product catalogues and online stores.
  • WordPress, Next.js, React and headless CMS options.
  • Mobile layouts, migration checks and a practical handover.

Compare website options, read the city briefs and review published client projects.

Tell us about your Australian website

A current URL or short brief is enough to start. Leave your name and either email or phone.

Start with the work

A useful website starts with a clear decision

A small service business, a product supplier and an organisation with several editors do not need the same website. The first may need better enquiries, the second a maintainable catalogue and the third a reliable publishing process. Agree what the website should make easier before choosing a theme or technology.

For an Australian website project, bring a real content sample, your current URLs and the systems that need to stay. Discuss what must be ready at launch and what can follow. This makes a proposal easier to compare than a promise based only on the number of pages.

Our design and engineering team works from Noida, India. We agree review and collaboration windows for your team’s actual timezone and date. The city briefs below help you compare different website requirements.

The illustration summarises the build options, project essentials and city guides. You can also inspect screenshots and scope details from our published New Zealand client projects below.

Choose from the requirement

What kind of website do you need?

An editable business website

WordPress can suit service, team and article pages your staff update regularly. Agree reusable layouts, editor controls, forms and maintenance. A focused site does not need a separate application frontend simply to look current.

A product catalogue or online shop

A catalogue helps people compare; a shop also needs prices, payment, shipping and order handling. Choose WooCommerce, Shopify or a custom approach from those operating requirements. Standard checkout and a trade portal are different scopes.

A custom public site with Next.js

Next.js can suit a public website built around structured content, custom interfaces and system connections. Plan server-rendered content, preview, deployment and cache updates, with named support ownership for the frontend and content source.

A React tool or account experience

React can support a quote tool, portal or interactive part of a wider website. Define accounts, permissions, validation and recovery before estimating. Public service pages still need readable content and a usable enquiry path.

Content shared across channels

A headless CMS separates content management from the frontend. That can help when information is reused across websites or products. It also needs a clear preview and publishing model; compare the benefit with the additional support work.

A redesign with useful history

Review existing content, URLs, enquiries and integrations before replacing a working website. Retain what remains useful, map necessary redirects and check the complete customer task after launch. A redesign should have a reason beyond a new visual style.

Published client websites

Published websites you can inspect before choosing a supplier

These projects are from New Zealand, where the businesses operate. They show real content and customer tasks relevant to a website brief. They are not presented as Australian clients, and no sales lift is inferred from a screenshot.

Bring your current website

Have a website that is difficult to use or update?

Send the current URL and explain what customers or staff struggle to do. We can discuss whether the next step is a focused improvement, a migration or a new build.

Compare the full scope

What should an Australian website quote include?

Pages, content and acceptance

List the page types, supplied copy, image permissions, forms, migration and integrations. Agree who approves the design and facts, how revisions are handled and which user tasks must pass. Quote a complete first release instead of leaving unfinished sections in the navigation.

Fees and recurring costs

Published starting fees on this website are in USD. The written proposal confirms scope, final fees, invoice currency, applicable taxes and payment dates. Identify domain, hosting, platform subscriptions, paid extensions, payment processing, copywriting and ongoing care separately unless included.

Ownership and remote collaboration

Keep the business’s domain, hosting, CMS and relevant service accounts under clear ownership. Agree repository access and handover where applicable. Use the client’s actual timezone and the date for calls; Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide do not share one fixed clock.

A scope you can review

From the first brief to a website your team can run

01

Review the task and existing site

Identify priority customers, useful content, current URLs and operating systems. Agree the problem before recommending a platform.

Review together
  • Priority customer and editor tasks
  • Content, URL and integration inventory
02

Approve real content and mobile layouts

Use actual service, product or organisational content in the design review. Confirm image permissions, claims and the enquiry or checkout path.

Review together
  • Responsive designs with realistic content
  • Scope, exclusions and acceptance criteria
03

Build and test the complete flow

Test forms, content editing, redirects and supported integrations. Include failed requests and difficult product or booking cases.

Review together
  • Mobile, desktop and accessibility checks
  • Recorded performance and functional results
04

Launch with owners and a recovery plan

Agree the release window, backup, rollback and post-launch responsibilities. Show the team how to perform the updates they will actually make.

  • Accounts, access and editing handover
  • Launch checks and support arrangements

Questions about website development in Australia

How much does a business website in Australia cost with Knit Infotech?

Our published WordPress Starter scope starts at USD 849/project, WordPress Business at USD 1,499/project and a standard Shopify or WooCommerce store at USD 2,599/project. These are starting fees for defined scopes, not AUD quotes or a market-wide price guide. Compare package inclusions. The proposal confirms final fees, invoice currency, applicable taxes and recurring costs.

Are you based in Australia?

Our design and engineering delivery team is in Noida, India. We do not have an Australian office. Meetings, review windows, contracting details and support arrangements are agreed before onboarding, using your actual timezone and the date.

How long does a website project take?

Timing depends on the agreed scope, content readiness, feedback and integrations. A focused service site and a large catalogue migration need different plans. Agree milestones after reviewing the brief, and identify what your team must supply before treating a launch date as committed.

Should our Australian website use a .com.au domain?

That depends on eligibility, branding and the markets you serve. A .com.au has commercial eligibility and name-allocation rules; it is not automatically available to every overseas business. Review auDA’s .com.au guidance. Register an eligible client’s domain in the appropriate business’s details and retain account control.

Can you keep our existing website URLs during a redesign?

Where the paths still make sense, retaining them is often practical. Start with a URL and content inventory, map changes to relevant replacements and test redirects, metadata and links. A visual redesign should not silently discard useful pages or working enquiry destinations.

Do we need WordPress, Next.js, React or a headless CMS?

Choose from the work the site must support. WordPress often suits regular public-content updates. Next.js can support a custom public frontend, React can support interactive tools, and a headless CMS can organise reused content. Each option has editing, hosting and maintenance responsibilities to compare.

Will the build include Australian tax, privacy and consumer policies?

Your business needs to confirm its applicable obligations and supply approved policy and tax information. The agreed build can implement forms, consent behaviour, shipping and tax settings from that brief. Requirements vary; do not assume every small business has identical privacy or GST obligations.

Can you guarantee a 100 PageSpeed score or visibility in AI search?

We can agree performance targets and report the conditions and results of testing. Real users, hosting, networks, third-party tools and content changes affect results. Search engines also choose which pages to index and cite. A strong technical build supports discovery without guaranteeing a ranking, citation or score.
